WCV EXPERT TIP Transit hinges are the key to this install. Ford uses two different styles, and you need to know which one you have before you start. Pro Tip: Look at the hinge pin. If it's a Single Pin, you have 180° hinges. If it’s a Double Pin, you have 270° hinges. This rack is designed to work with the factory geometry, but double-checking your pin count now saves you a "return-shipping" headache later!

• Q: Why is "No Door Removal" such a big deal? A: On most Transit racks, you have to unbolt the door to sandwich the bracket behind the hinge. • Q: Can I still open my door all the way? A: If you have 270-degree hinges, the tire will act as a natural "stop" before the door hits the side of the van. For 180-degree hinges, the door operation remains standard.
