WCV EXPERT TIP The most common support call we get is about door hinges. Pro Tip: Open your rear door. Does it swing open and stop parallel to the van's side? That’s a 180° hinge. Does it swing all the way around to touch the side panel? That’s a 270° hinge. You must have 180° hinges for this rack to work. If you have the 270s, don't sweat it—we stock the black OEM 180° replacement hinges right here to keep your install moving.

Builder Note: Pay close attention to the third mounting point. We include a shock-proof silicone dampener specifically to prevent the vibration and "door-rattle" that common steel racks often cause over long washboard roads.

The integrated ladder features machined aluminum foot pegs and dimpled rungs for maximum grip in wet or snowy conditions.

• Q: Will this fit my 3500 Dually Sprinter? A: Not without modification. The Dually uses a different wheel offset and hub. Contact us for a list of the specific Mercedes OEM parts needed to make this fit a 3500.

• Q: Do I have to drill into my door? A: Yes. To ensure the safety and stability of a 70lb wheel/tire combo, this rack requires a third mounting point through the door skin (protected by our silicone dampener).

• Q: Can I use a cable lock with this? A: Absolutely. We highly recommend the Trimax ST30 Cable Lock to secure your spare tire to the aluminum frame.

• Q: Is the powder coat durable? A: Very. However, a Pro Tip from our shop: when tightening your hardware during install, avoid letting the bolt head "spin" against the powder coat to prevent bubbling. A dab of black touch-up paint on any tool-marks will keep it rust-free for years.
